Temple Towers of South India - Gopura Darisanam Kodi Punniyam - Temple Tower Darshan

Yes, you get to see most of the Temple Towers of South India in this blog post. I am planning to cover all the temple towers as I visit in future. So you shall keep checking for the updates on this blog.


Update History

1. Latest update: 6th July 2016 with 10 new locations and 18 different Towers .
2. First update : 33 Temples and it's Towers and updated on 23rd August 2015.

In Tamil "கோபுர தரிசனம் கோடி புண்ணியம்" and in English  "Sight of a Temple tower is worth 10 million pious activities". Each temple has its own magnificent tower in front with lots of colourful sculptures in it.  Some are tallest and some are simple. But each one is so unique and don't forget to carry a binocular to check the tower so close. Here you find photos of many of the temple towers I have visited so far.
